Kusum Athukorala
Kusum Athukorala holds a master of science in managing rural change from Imperial College, University of London. She is the recipient of the International Water Association’s International Women in Water Award and the Zonta Woman of Achievement for Environment. She has held a series of responsible positions on national, regional and international boards and has contributed to establishing and growing an array of national and international organisations. She has also worked as an adviser and consultant for water-related programmes. Currently her work in environment-related advocacy covers a range of ground-level issues in Sri Lanka such as gender and community development, water, sanitation, hygiene, climate and water security.
