Ismahane Elouafi
Dr Ismahane Elouafi is the executive managing director of CGIAR, a global research partnership for a food-secure future. Previously, she served as the chief scientist at the Food and Agriculture Organization. She has also held several senior scientific and leadership positions and has been a member of important governance boards related to food policy and bioscience internationally. Dr Elouafi has made significant contributions in the areas of non-fresh water use in agriculture, improved wheat breeding, diversifying into neglected crops, empowering women in science and rethinking food systems.
