Airton Azevedo Arruda

Airton Azevedo Arruda, chair of ICICB Group’s board of directors, is a strategic leader with vast experience identifying and evaluating internal and external issues that impact on the company’s stability. He is responsible for running all facets of the group business, identifying business potential and driving the group’s competitive benefit. With his wealth of experience as executive director, he provides innovative and energised leadership in managing risk-reward trade-offs in company services, ensuring business heads understand the risks that may affect their departments. Prior to joining ICICB Group, Mr Arruda served as a CEO for Sunshine Import Export in the United States, where he worked for nearly six years leading the trading strategies and development in the Middle East and Asia. Respected as a credible voice in decision-making, he held a CEO position with AR Canada Impex, where he successfully introduced Brazilian coffee into the Canadian market, thus creating a new benchmark in specialty coffee.
